/ 07:22 AM July 05, 2011

The Birdnuts of Cebu will launch its first migratory birds photo exhibit tomorrow, July 6 in SM City Cebu.

Together with SM City Cebu, Pacific Online Systems Corp., Wild Bird Club of the Philippines Inc. and Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.,  the “Migratory Birds: Global Ambassadors of the Changing Environment” exhibit will feature migratory shorebirds photographed in the wild and in their natural habitat.

The United Nations Environment Programme and other organizations have recognized the roles of these birds as indicators of the effects of changing climate and environmental conditions.

The exhibit will include photos of birds in flight, feeding, and other interesting behaviors.

FEATURED STORIES

The birds were captured up close, revealing details almost impossible to discern with the naked eye in the field.

Judge Simeon Dumdum Jr. will be the guest of honor. A poetry reading on his book “If I Write You this Poem, Will You Make It Fly” will highlight the opening of the photo exhibit, which will run until July 12 at the first level of The Northwing (in front of Duty Free).
