Cashier loses P18T to thief
A STORE cashier lost P18,000 cash to a woman who pretended to be the cousin of the store’s branch manager in barangay Poblacion, Badian town, southwest Cebu.
Solina Deniega, 30, told police that last Monday afternoon, she received a text message from cell phone number 0999-5682041 where a woman told her that she was asked by Allan Cuico, branch manager of Millenium Agri-raiser Supply, to pick up the store’s poceeds.
Later, a woman arrived.

Deniega said she gave P18,000 to the woman, who left on board a motorcycle.
Deniega later checked with their main office in Cebu City and learned that no one arrived there to bring the P18,000 cash./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL BONJOC
