MAN KILLED IN BIKE COLLISION

A 54-YEAR-OLD man was killed while two others were wounded after two motorcycles collided in barangay Arpili, Balamban town, midwest Cebu.

Alexander Sotes, a worker of an electric company based in Toledo City, suffered injuries in different parts of the body. He was declared dead at  the town’s hospital.

The driver of the other motorcycle, Lloyd Tumbiga, and his backrider Nicanor Candole, 38, survived the accident.

Police said the accident happened while Sotes was headed for work early morning yesterday.

Sotes  tried to overtake a  multicab  when his motorcycle hit another motorcycle in the opposite lane, said PO2 Godofredo Dumdum  of the Balamban police station.

MAN DROWNS OFF TOLEDO

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man drowned while fishing in the waters off barangay Dumlog, Toledo City, southwestern Cebu.

Daniel Rabacal of  barangay Cambang-og, Toledo was pronounced dead at the Toledo City District hospital.

Rabacal went fishing with six relatives yesterday morning. When his  companions left to cook their fish catch, Rabacal and Leodegario Rico remained in the water.

Rico was later surprised when Rabacal disappeared.

Rabacal’s body was found  about 30 minutes after he disappeared.
