MANILA, Philippines – Some 80 students held a rally at the home of President Benigno Aquino III in Times Street, Quezon City Friday and called on the government to implement genuine land reform, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
The center of the protesters’ ire is Hacienda Luisita, which is owned by the Cojuangcos, Aquino’s maternal family.
Aquino, however, is on official visits to the US and United Kingdom.
