Philippine Red Cross turns over rehab projects in Isabela, Quirino

A total of 5,000 families and over 4,000 students who were affected by typhoons “Pedring” and “Quiel” in September last year in Isabela and Quirino benefited from the rehabilitation projects of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

PRC chairman Richard J. Gordon led the turnover  of the renovated health facilities and water system, as well as classrooms to local authorities in the provinces.

In Isabela, the rehabilitation project covered the towns of Echague, Jones and San Agustin  where two health centers, one spring water supply and one day care center and six classrooms were rehabilitated. PRC also provided equipment and medical supplies to 27 villages.

In Qurino province, the projects covered the towns of Maddela and Nagtipunan, reaching out to 2,099 families and 1,624 students in 13 villages. Rehabilitated were school latrines, health units and classrooms. Health equipment and medical supplies were also distributed along with hygiene kits, first aid kits, mosquito nets and jerry cans.
