A 45-YEAR-OLD security guard was jailed after he allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl five times in three consecutive days.

Suspect Noel Escura, a native of Villarhermoso, San Carlos City admitted to the crime saying it was the girl who tempted him.

Escura was arrested by the girl’s guardian Linda (not her real name) after the child confessed about the rape.  Escura is now detained at the Subangdaku Police Station.

Subangdaku Police Station chief Insp. Ramil Morpos said the victim was an adopted child of Linda’s husband.

When he died, Linda took custody of the child in San Carlos City.

Last month,  they transferred in barangay Tipolo in Mandaue City and rented a room with the suspect.

They came to Cebu to look for a job.

But last Wednesday, Linda went home to San Carlos City to check on her family, leaving the child in Escura’s custody.

“She entrusted the child to the suspect because they are close friends. But when she got home, the child told her about the rape,” Morpos said.

The child was brought to the pink room of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for a check up.

Morpos said the child was also a victim of rape before she was adopted by Linda’s husband.  She has not gone to school ever since.

After undergoing a check up, she will be sent to the City Social Welfare Development Office of Mandaue City.

Morpos said they received information that her guardian could not properly take care of her.
