Coke-PBA regionals start today

THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas Baby Lancers aim to do the city proud as they represent Cebu in the regional finals of the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars Basketball Tournament today at the West Negros University gym in Bacolod City.

The Baby Lancers of head coach Jaymar Canoy try to continue their winning tradition when they take on Iloilo in the match set at 8:30 a.m. They finish the day with a match against the hosts Bacolod at 2:30 p.m.

The winner of this tournament will move on to represent the region in the national finals, which is slated May 27 to June 1 in Manila.

UV earned the right to represent Cebu in the regionals after defeating the University of San Carlos North,  91-49, in the Cebu leg finals last weekend.

Spearheading their campaign in Bacolod will be Leonard Santillan along with hotshots Ralph Dinolan and Gerald Fernandez. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
