MANILA, Philippines — Although it isn’t the rainy season yet, parts of the country will experience rain due to an intertropical convergence zone in Mindanao and a trough of a low pressure area in Northern and Central Luzon, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

The western section of Northern and Central Luzon, extreme Northern Luzon, Palawan and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
