Escapee nabbed in Lipa City

BATANGAS CITY—A murder convict who escaped and went into hiding for 13 years was arrested in Granja, Barangay 7, Lipa City, on Wednesday.
Lipa City police chief Supt. Christopher Birung said they
arrested Mario Privo, 36, at about 2:10 p.m.
Birung said Privo was charged for the murder of Mamerto Cator in Sabang on Jan. 28, 1998. Privo was arrested and detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology here but escaped in 1999. Marrah Erika Lesaba, Inquirer Southern Luzon
