Tondo fire reaches Task Force Bravo

MANILA, Philippines—The fire that hit a squatters community in Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, Manila reached Task Force Bravo, a fire official said.

Fire Officer 3 Oliver Sison said the alert was raised at 6:27 p.m., over two hours after the fire broke out at 4:10 p.m.

As of posting time, Sison said no injuries and casualties have been reported.

He said about 20 to 25 fire trucks from Manila, Pasig, Makati and San Juan were sent to extinguish the blaze that radio reports said was affecting about 1,000 houses.
