Former Sen. Jovito Salonga’s son arrested–police

MANILA, Philippines — A son of former Senator Jovito Salonga, not the lawmaker as reported on radio, was arrested Monday in his home in Pasig City for alleged estafa, police said.
Branch 265 of the Pasig City regional trial court issued the order against Steven Salonga and was served by the Eastern District Police in his home on Acacia Street, Valle Verde Subdivision, said police.
The case involves the sale of a condominium unit in Tagaytay by Salonga.
No other details are available as of posting time.
