ILIGAN CITY – A still undetermined number of people – mostly students – were wounded when an explosion rocked the junction of Roxas and Quezon Avenues here around 7:50 p.m. Saturday, the police said.
The injured victims were rushed to hospitals by volunteers, policemen and soldiers responding to the incident, according to Chief Superintendent Celso Regencia, city police chief.
The area, known as El Centro, is a rendezvous for most Iliganons especially during Saturdays as live bands plays there.
Regencia said the police could not say what the bomb’s make or who could be responsible for it yet.
Investigations were still being conducted and victims were being assisted, he added.
