Patricia Ann Paez named new PH envoy to Poland

President Aquino has appointed the head of the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of American Affairs as the country’s ambassador to Poland.

Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. transmitted the nomination of erstwhile Assistant Secretary Patricia Ann Paez to the DFA and to the Commission on Appointments for confirmation by Congress.

Paez was a presidential assistant for the foreign affairs and was a consul and press and information officer in the country’s embassy in Washington.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said there remains no information on the President’s choice of ambassador to China.

Mr. Aquino has already said that he has interviewed one candidate and is expected to interview another one.
