MANILA, Philippines — Although there is no weather disturbance in the country, it will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, state weather forecasters said Friday.
Leny Ruiz, weather forecaster at the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, emphasized that there would only be isolated rains, and that the rainy season has not started yet.
He said warm weather would continue especially in Southern Luzon and Visayas due to the ridge of high pressure area or clear skies but added that it was likely to rain in places where clouds have been
formed due to the heating of earth’s surface.
Temperature in Metro Manila is lower at 34.3 degrees Celsius, compared to 35 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. It experienced its highest temperature for the year at 36.7 degrees Celsius.
Ruiz said normal temperature in Metro Manila was between 30 and 31 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. bulletin.
