Man falls to his death from Manila condo building

MANILA, Philippines — A man fell to his death from a condominium-hotel in Manila’s downtown Sta. Cruz district Friday, police said.

Sergeant Manuel Crom of police station 3 said the victim, identified as Jonas Duphanay, 22, of Lagawe, Ifugao, allegedly fell from the seventh floor of Lope de Vega Tower Condo-Hotel where his brother, Jay Bruce, lives in one of the units.

Crom said the building’s security guard found the body of Duphanay at about 6:30 a.m. Friday, a day after he arrived to be with his brother in unit 713.

He said the guard roused Jay Bruce from his sleep to inform him of his brother’s death.

Investigation is ongoing.

The first thing that came to my mind was: did Corona really jump from the building. But it was not him. He still need to explain the discrepancies in his SALN and bank accounts. Sorry, my thinking was not pure. May the family of the fallen find comfort in Jesus.
