Meralco: Expect power interruption in parts of Metro Manila, Cavite on July 23
MANILA, Philippines — A power interruption will be experienced in parts of Metro Manila and Cavite on July 23, said the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
As of Tuesday, the electric firm’s website shows the following areas that will be affected by various maintenance works on July 23.
Deparo, Caloocan City (10 a.m. until 3 p.m.)
This scheduled power outage, according to Meralco, is due to the upgrading of facilities in St. Tomas Village 7 in Deparo, Caloocan City.
It will affect the entire St. Tomas Village 7.
Bagong Silangan, Quezon City (9 a.m. until 4 p.m.)
Subsequently, another maintenance schedule will affect a portion of Metro Manila, specifically in Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
Merlaco said this is due to the installation of facilities along Gen. Geronimo Street in Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City.
Areas and establishments that will be affected are as follows:
- Portion of J.P. Rizal Street from Macabulos St. to Gen. Malvar St.
- Bagong Silangan High School
- Portion of Gen. Geronimo St. from near Bonifacio St. to M.H. Del Pilar and Gen. Alejandrino Streets
Imus and Dasmariñas City, Cavite (3:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.)
Meanwhile, on the same day, a power outage will also affect parts of Cavite due to “preventative maintenance” and “testing works” inside Meralco – Imus substation.
