First-ever GOOD Run today

THE FIRST-EVER American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE)-Philippines’ Goiter, Obesity, Osteoporosis and Diabetes (GOOD) Run will kick off today at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.

Around a thousand runners are expected to join the race, including  two-division world champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, undefeated WBO intercontinental flyweight champion Milan “El Metodico” Melindo and WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight champion Aj “Bazooka” Banal.

The GOOD Run started in Metro Manila last year and was brought to Cebu by AACE president Gerry Tan, who is a Cebuano.

The run will feature a 1k race for patients and 3k, 6k, 12k and 21k for regular runners.

FEATURED STORIES

Aside from the running event, organizers will also put up a free medical check-up for runners and non-participants after the race.

The 21k champions will receive P10,00 each. The 12k champions get  P5,000 while 6k winners get P3,000. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
