Redemptorist retreat house offering

THE Redemptorist Retreat House in Nivel Hills, Cebu City, is offering a Lenten program for men and women called Refresh.

Described as a “fun vacation for the soul,” Refresh allows one “to rediscover our true potential, reconnect with the ultimate source—God, rekindle the love in our relationships and relive the best life ever.”

The program for women will be from March 30 at 5 p.m. to Palm Sunday, April 1 at 8 a.m. The program for men will be from Holy Thursday, April 5 at 9 a.m. to Holy Saturday, April 7.

ScrumMaster Certification Course

The Certified ScrumMaster Course will be held in Cebu to complement the growing demands of the software development industry.

The three-day course, the 12th hosted by Danish IT company Codelean Inc., will be on March 27–29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Lahug.

Scrum is an Agile software development framework dealing with how projects are planned and organized. Scrum has proved to improve the ability to respond quickly to market and customer needs, strengthen team efficiency and boost employee morale.

The course will be facilitated by certified ScrumMaster and ScrumAlliance.org coach Bas Vodde, also co-author of Scaling Agile & Lean Development: Thinking and Organizational Tools for Large-Scale Scrum and Practices for Large-Scale Agile and Lean Development.

Real Estate Appraisal Seminar set

THE Central Cebu Board of Realtors Inc. and Cesar E. Santos Real Estate Academy will conduct a real estate appraisal seminar and review on April 27, 28, 29 and May 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 at the Sacred Heart Center on D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City.
