Brillo, Egay, Bangga bag top honors in folding bike race
ROBERT Brillo bagged the 20-inch wheel with and without gear division title of the folding bike race that was part of yesterday’s 50th Charter Day celebration of Lapu-Lapu City at the Millennium Park under the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.
Rovic Pesanon placed second while Jomari Fortuna settled for third place.
Dong-dong Egay ruled the 16-inch wheel with gear division. Edgar Fernandez, who actually led the first two laps of the 1.5k race track, settled for second place while Cebu Daily News photographer Jay Rommel Labra wound up third.
Geronimo Bangga topped the 16-inch wheel without gear division. Michael Amar finished second followed by Pesanon at third.
All the top three placers brought home cash prizes courtesy of the Lapu-Lapu City government headed by Sports and Tourism chairman Harry Radaza.
The race, which attracted more than 40 bikers, was organized by Tindak Bisdak-Cebu Folding Bikers Society.
