DoTC calls ‘minor glitch’ 5-hour brownout at Naia 3

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Transportation and Communication (DoTC) called a “minor glitch” the five-hour power interruption at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport 3 (Naia 3).

DoTC, in a statement, said there was an on-going maintenance operation at Naia 3 when the trip occurred at the Meralco main line.

The power interruption started at 12:30 a.m. The airport resumed normal operation at 5 a.m.

A flight to Korea and arrival of four other flights were affected by the brownout.
