MANILA, Philippines — Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao due to easterlies or winds blowing from the east, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east will prevail over the eastern section of the country and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas, it also said.
