Banco Filipino suit vs Bangko Sentral junked

The Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 143 has dismissed a petition from Banco Filipino to cite Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando Tetangco and two other BSP officials in contempt, ruling that the beleaguered savings bank was forum-shopping.
In his decision, Judge Rommel Baybay said Banco Filipino had initiated two actions in separate courts with the same allegations and facts, hoping that “one or the other court might look with favor” on its plea.
