GLOBE Telecom has set up libreng tawag and libreng charging stations in four Negros Oriental towns that were severely damaged by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake last Monday.

A Libreng Tawag center was also put up in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, which is currently under water due to continuous heavy rains since Wednesday.

Residents of Jimalalud, Guihulngan, Tayasan and La Libertad were able to call their relatives and loved ones for free while those in Guihulngan can also charge their mobile phones for free. There is no electricity in the said towns for almost a week now.
