Co-op worker shot dead
A female staff member of the Cebu People’s Coop was shot dead as she was walking home in barangay Pagsabungan, Mandaue City, last Monday night.
Police said robbery could be the motive in the killing of 38-year-old Grace Caminade.
Her bag was empty when she was found slumped on the ground about 50 meters from her house. An empty laptop case was recovered about 20 meters nearby. She suffered gunshot wounds in the right arm and body.
Caminade was walking home in a dark portion of the road when she was attacked past 10 p.m.
Some residents in the area said they heard a woman shouting for help followed by bursts of gunfire, according to Insp. Wilson Abot, Basak police chief.
A motorcycle was seen hurriedly leaving the area.
