MANILA, Philippines — Two dead bodies were found lying on the pavement outside a cemetery in Quezon City by a policeman who happened to be off duty early Monday.

Authorities have yet to determine the identities of the two male victims, who were found by SPO1 Rodrigo Barrameda, a desk officer of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

One of the victims was described as between 30 to 35 years old, fair-skinned, of medium built at about 5’3″ tall, short-haired and wearing jeans and a blue shirt.

Case investigator SPO2 Mariano Turiano said the other victim who appeared younger, was brown-skinned, sported a tattoo of the word “Chelsea” and wore a black Adidas shirt and jeans.

Barrameda said he was off duty and just happened to be in the area when he found the two bodies lying face down on the pavement near the perimeter fence of the Manila North Cemetery along A. Bonifacio Ave. corner Magnas St. in Barangay N.S. Amoranto.

He immediately contacted the nearest police station and reported his discovery.

Turiano said the ligature marks found on the necks on both victims indicated they were strangled.

The victims were probably killed elsewhere and later dumped outside the cemetery, he added.

Police have yet to find a witness as there were no people living near the area where the bodies were found.
