MANILA, Philippines – Police are on the lookout for four suspects who fled after shooting a policeman in Davao Oriental Tuesday, a spokesman said Wednesday.

Citing a report from the Davao police, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said authorities were on the hunt for those responsible for the shooting of Police Officer 3 Alfredo Salva at the Mati Centennial Transport Terminal in Madang, Central village, Mati City.

Salva, who survived, was attacked by six assailants but was able to wound two of them, said Cruz.

Salva was rushed to the Davao Oriental Provincial Hospital while the two suspects were taken to St. Camillus Hospital.
