THE FOLLOWING are recommendations from BFAR Ilocos Director Nestor Domenden to bangus growers and local governments so they could avoid fishkill.
For bangus growers:

Follow municipal zoning plan in aquaculture areas
FEATURED STORIES
Adhere to responsible aquaculture practices (proper stocking density, feeding management and spacing of pens and cages, among others).
Follow concept of production programming to avoid glut
For local governments:
Ensure that navigational lanes are not blocked to allow free flow of water
