Prepare deed of donaton for 45 properties, Corona told

MANILA, Philippines — Chief Justice Renato Corona should prepare his deed of donation if it could be proven that he and his family owned 45 properties that were found to be under his and his kin’s names, a lawmaker dared Friday.

Marikina Representative Miro Quimbo issued a statement in response to Corona’s challenge that he would give away the controversial properties if proven guilty

Quimbo, spokesman of the prosecution panel at the. Hose PRepresentatives, in an interview over Radyo Inquirer 990AM this Friday said the data on the 45 properties have been provided by the Land Registration Authority (LRA).

“I really don’t want to comment on the merits but there are already the certificates of title and condominium certificates. Then, he should go ahead and sign the deed of donation because the government cannot just get those properties,” Quimbo said.en a letter to Iloilo Representative Niel Tupas Jr, head of the prosecution team in the Corona impeachment, dated Jan. 10, 2012, LRA administrator Eulalio Diaz III said the properties are in the name of Corona’s wife, family members. Only two were listed under Corona’s name.
