Man dies in North Cotabato fire

COTABATO CITY – A 71-year-old bedridden man was killed when a fire of still unknown origin razed their home in Midsayap, North Cotabato, on Tuesday night, the Bureau of Fire Protection reported Wednesday.

Senior Insp. Noah Pacalta, the town’s fire chief, identified the victim as Wilfredo Quejada.

He said Quejada was charred to death when the fire razed the house in Barangay Sagaan around 8:30 p.m.

Nova said they were trying to determine if Quejada had companions when the fire broke out.
