A market porter was shot dead in the Balintawak market area in Quezon City by two assailants aboard a motorcycle on Friday afternoon.

Case investigator PO3 Johnny Mahilum identified the victim as Eddie San Andres, of Barangay Sta. Quiteria, Caloocan City.

He said the gunmen were aboard a motorcycle with “for registration” plate, with one armed with a handgun.

At that time, the traffic enforcer said he was directing traffic when he heard a gunshot fired from behind.

When he glanced behind him, he saw one of the gunmen tucking a gun in his waist while boarding a motorcycle where his companion was waiting.

The pair then drove off in the direction of Muñoz while the victim was sprawled on his motorcyle equipped with a sidecar.

Mahilum said they are investigating the suspects’ identities and motives for killing San Andres.
