According to data from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival held last year earned over P540.5 million from Dec. 25, 2010, to Jan. 7, 2011. This was around 24 percent higher than the film fest’s earnings of P437.6 million in 2009.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
