2 Japanese men nabbed for smoking marijuana in Makati

MANILA, Philippines — Two Japanese men were arrested after they were caught smoking marijuana at a parking lot in Makati City on Monday.

Makati police arrested Maka Yohey Yamaguchi, 31, and Takuya Oyagi, 41, both billeted in a hotel in Barangay San Lorenzo, Makati City.

Hector Ponsalan, security guard in the hotel, called the police after he saw the two smoking marijuana at the hotel’s parking lot.

Police officers caught the suspects in the act of smoking the marijuana. They were later brought to the Makati Police station for detention as complaints are being readied against them.

According to the Makati police, the two Japanese men yielded dried marijuana leaves, 66 unidentified tablets, a bottle containing an unknown liquid and a bottle containing suspected illegal drugs.  /muf
