Price freeze only for basic goods–DTI exec

MANILA, Philippines — The freeze in prices which the Department of Trade and Industry has announced will only cover basic commodities such as rice, poultry and meat products, sugar, cooking oil, milk, sardines, bread, laundry soap, salt, and important medicines and won’t include products used for the traditional Noche Buena Christmas feast, DTI undersecretary Zeny Maglaya clarified to Radyo Inquirer 990AM Wednesday.
