Employee volunteers repaint schools in Cebu City, Mandaue

/ 07:25 AM June 02, 2011

THE Cebu Home and Builders Centre (CHBC) has been providing building materials for the construction of homes, schools and other establishments for the past several years.

Now it’s time for the company to give back to the society by joining the Department of Education’s Adopt-a-School program.

Last May 20, employee volunteers from CHBC’s three branches in Banilad, Pardo and Mactan trooped to CHBC’s adopted schools—Labangon Bliss Elementary School in Cebu City and Basak Elementary School in Mandaue City—to repaint classroom walls and ceilings as the company’s corporate social responsibility project.

The activity aimed to give students a healthy environment conducive for learning in time for the opening of classes next week.
