Low pressure area to bring rain in parts of PH–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of the country will experience rains and thunderstorms due to an active low pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Monday.

In its latest bulletin, the low pressure area was last seen at 390 kilometers west of Palawan.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it also said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast and east will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from the southeast to east over the rest of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast will prevail over Visayas and blowing from the east to northeast over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, it also said.
