Low pressure area over Puerto Princesa to bring rain in parts of country–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area is seen to bring rain over parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the low pressure area was seen 330 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City.

Northern Luzon and Eastern section of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, becoming cloudy with widespread rains over Palawan and Eastern Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, it added.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it also said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast and east will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast over Visayas and blowing from the northeast to northwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa said.
