Ivler asks court to resolve request for colostomy reversal surgery

/ 03:41 PM December 06, 2011

MANILA, Philippines—Lawyers of road rage murder suspect Jason Ivler have urged a Quezon City court to rule on the request of the accused for surgery as he has settled all of his previous unpaid hospital bills.

In a motion to resolve, Ivler’s lawyers Joseph Sagandoy Jr. and Priscilla Marie Abante asked Judge Luisito Cortez of Regional Trial Court Branch 84 to resolve the bid for hospital confinement filed more than a year ago.

Ivler’s counsel said Ivler has settled his outstanding bills with the Quirino Memorial Medical Center amounting to more than P500,000.

That the accused pay up the bills from his previous confinement was part of the court’s condition in granting the motion for hospital confinement to reverse Ivler’s colostomy.
