Labor groups converge at UST to protest contractualization

Some workers call for a boycott of a company that reportedly engages in labor contractualization. INQUIRER.NET / FAYE ORELLANA

Members of the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) joined workers from other labor groups waiting in front of the University of Santo Tomas.

Groups like BMP, Sanlakas, Partido Manggagawa, and Kadamay met with KMU Monday morning as they denounced contractualization in the country on National Heroes Day.

Also spotted in the rally were ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. Antonio Tinio and Gabriela Rep. Arlene Brosas.

Meanwhile, the effigy of President Rodrigo Duterte was destroyed prior to the arrival of labor groups in Mendiola Manila. /cbb
