Headless body found in Zamboanga del Sur

PAGADIAN CITY – Head still missing, the body of a farmer was found along the pathway in Barangay Balintawak, Margosatubig town in Zamboanga del Sur Wednesday.

SPO2 Fernan Galadlas, the town police investigator, said the remains were that of Elanio Hubid Paragas, 41, a resident of Sitio Bangan Bangan, Barangay Bio-us, Vincenzo Sagun town in Zamboanga del Sur.

Bio-us is located next to Balintawak, where Paragas usually delivered his harvested crops, Galadlas told the Inquirer.

Galadlas said residents in the area immediately alerted the police when they found the mutilated body of the victim lying on the trail. They helped look for the head of the victim but failed to find it. LEAH AGONOY
