DID YOU KNOW: Over 5,000 typhoid fever cases noted in early in 2018

According to the Epidemiology Bureau of the Department of Health, a total of 5,455 cases of typhoid fever were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to April 28.

This was 26 percent lower compared to the 7,331 cases reported during the same period last year. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
