Party drugs peddler nabbed in San Juan buy-bust

An alleged peddler of party drugs has been arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Juan City, police said Friday.

Based on a police report, authorities collared Dino Alcobendas Mallari, 31, along A. Lake Street in Barangay Balong Bato at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

He was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a police officer who posed as a buyer. Subsequent search on the suspect’s motorcycle yielded a sachet of suspected ecstasy. Authorities have yet to determine the quantity of the tablets, as of this posting.

According to police, the suspect was supposed to deliver the party drugs to a club in Quezon City after the sale of shabu.

Police said Mallari refused to name the source of the party drugs found in his possession, police said.

Mallari is now detained at the San Juan City Police headquarters as drug charges are set to be filed against him in court. /kga
