Cops in hot water for peeing on century-old balete tree in Malacañang

Rogue policemen are set to sink into deeper trouble for taking a leak on a century-old tree in Malacañang.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is poised to investigate a report that some of the policemen, who was scolded by President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang on Tuesday, urinated on a balete tree inside the Palace grounds.

“We will initiate investigation on this matter,” NCRPO Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar told reporters.
According to Eleazar, 87 of the 102 policemen who were castigated by Mr. Duterte for their alleged involvement in various criminal activites, including kidnapping and illegal drugs trade, were from Metro Manila.
“We will ask the officers who were there para malaman namin kung sino ‘yung mga nandon (so we can identify those who were there),” he said.
Eleazar deplored this latest controversy against the police force.
“Meron talagang mga bugok sa aming hanay na hindi namin tino-tolerate,” he said.
