CIM turns 54

THE Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM) will celebrate its 54th founding anniversary on Dec. 1- 6.

The celebration will start with the CIM Medical World Congress Season 6 on Dec. 1 and 2 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

A Eucharistic celebration will be held on Dec. 3 at 9 a.m at CIM Amphitheater 3, followed by the recognition ceremonies of this year’s Silver Jubilarians (Class 1986), the awarding for Most Outstanding CIM Alumnus, and a fellowship luncheon at the main social hall which will feature the annual raffle draw.

All CIM alumni are invited to join and celebrate this annual event. For inquiries, contact 253-9498.

Hydroponics seminar at DOST

THE Department of Science and Technology in Central Visayas (DOST-7) will hold a hands-on seminar on hydroponics tomorrow, Nov. 29 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the DOST conference room in sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

This is open to all.

Registration fee is P1,000 per person. The fee includes handouts and certificate, snacks and a hydroponics set.

Mcwd orientation

THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District is offering a no downpayment promo for the residents of sitios Climaco and Paglaum in barangay Bulacao, Cebu City.

MCWD will be conducting an orientation seminar for new water service connection applicants on Nov. 30 at 9 a.m. at the Bulacao barangay hall.

Simultaneous with the orientation, MCWD will also be conducting an outreach program in the two sitios for children 7 years old below.

Sitios Climaco and Paglaum were among the areas where MCWD services were suspended for lack of water supply.

Last month, personnel of the Pipelines Maintenance Division finished the pipe laying and interconnected the mainlines in these areas.
