Couple peddling drugs nabbed in Pasig

A couple allegedly peddling drugs in Pasig City were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday.
In a report issued on Thursday by the Pasig City Police, the suspects were arrested after the policemen conducted the operation at around 9:30 a.m. along M. Mendoza Ilaya Street in Barangay Buting.
The police identified the suspects as Richard, 44, and Lilybeth Manera, 42. They were both included in the drug watch list.
Police seized 10 sachets of suspected shabu and P200 buy-bust money from the suspects.
The couple, along with the illegal drug confiscated from them, were taken to the Eastern Police District’s Crime Laboratory for drug test and laboratory examination.
The two will face criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /jpv
