Personal grudge or “rido” (family feud) was seen as the motive in the daylight shooting.

The killing of Gumbila came two days after a lone gunman killed Dr. Nasser Gayak, a staff teacher of the Department of Education in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Gayak, 40, was heading for home from work when shot.
