Domestic flights canceled amid heavy rainfall

Some domestic flights were canceled Tuesday as the monsoon rain enhanced by tropical depression “Henry” continued to bring heavy rainfall in many parts of Luzon.

According to the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa), the following flights were canceled as of 8 a.m., July 17:

At 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised yellow and orange rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Cavite, Zambales, Batangas, and Bataan.

Pagasa also said monsoon rains will persist over Metro Manila, Zambales, Cavite, Bataan, Mindoro, Palawan, and Western Visayas; while Batanes remained under Signal No. 1 due to Henry.   /kga
