Policewoman shot dead in Cebu
CEBU CITY— A policewoman was killed after a still unidentified suspect shot her several times early Thursday in Tabuelan, Cebu.
The victim was identified as Police Officer 1 (PO1) Avita “Jiji” Sarsuelo, who was assigned at the Provincial Admin Holding Unit of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
Sarsuelo used to be assigned in Pilar town in the neighboring province of Bohol.

Police Officer 2 (PO2) Jerome Mellor, Desk Officer of Tabuelan Police Station, told Cebu Daily News that they recieved a call from a concerned citizen to inform them of a shooting incident, which happened past 5 a.m. in Barangay Poblacion.
Mellor said investigation is still underway to identify the gunman and determine the motive behind the attack. /kga
