Former public order and safety officer killed in Cauayan City

CAUAYAN CITY— A 52-year-old former public order and safety officer of this city was shot and killed on Monday morning in front of a motorcycle repair shop along Don Dacanay Street in Barangay San Fermin here.

Edwin Cadiz was shot four times in the head and torso by one of two men riding a motorcycle.

The police have yet to determine the motive for the killing and are now checking reports that the former city official owned the gun used to kill him.

Forensic investigators have not yet identified the type of handgun used in the attack. /ee
