6 nabbed in QC for possession of illegal drugs

Six people were caught in possession of illegal drugs in Barangay Baesa in Quezon City on Sunday night, according to policemen from the Masambong Police Station.

In a report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), six sachets and one aluminum foil of suspected shabu (chrystal meth) were seized from the suspects, identified as Jhon Almar Alonzo, 21; Bryan Cruz, 32; Jerry Buan, 39; Vidiamor Morales, 54; Princess Tariga, 22; and John Christian Brasas, 27.

Alonzo, Fajardo, Tariga, and Brasas all live in Barangay Baesa, while Buan is from Barangay Bahay Toro and Morales hails from Paradise Village, all in Quezon City.

The arrest was made around 9 p.m. at the home of Alonzo and Tariga in Pajo, Barangay Baesa. Aside from the illegal substances, a weighing scale and a torch were also reportedly seized from the suspects.

The suspects and the confiscated substances were brought to the QCPD for proper disposition and documentation. The suspects may face charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Alyssa Javier/Intern (INQUIRER.net) /ee
