Bus dispatcher slain in Cavite buy-bust

SAN PEDRO CITY — A man tagged as an illegal drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Baranga Marlulas in Kawit town in Cavite province past midnight on Saturday.

After selling a sachet of suspected “shabu,” or crystal meth, to an undercover police officer, suspect Alex Toquero, a dispatcher at a bus terminal, reportedly drew his gun and fired, according to report from the Kawit Municipal Police Station.

This prompted the police officer to shoot back and kill Toquero.

Police seized nine other sachets of shabu and a .38-caliber revolver from the slain suspect. /atm
